Report & further information
At the Easter celebration of Bucharest’s German community at the Schiller House, students from the German Goethe College and the IDEES German School presented a varied cultural programme.
Alongside German songs – including one in the Transylvanian Saxon dialect – the Eichenwälder Dance Group performed German folk dances. Representatives of the German Embassy, the Evangelical Church of the Augsburg Confession in Bucharest and the Goethe College leadership reciprocated the Easter greetings offered by the host, DFD Bucharest.
To conclude, Prof Teaha read his traditional Easter epistle. The buffet that followed provided numerous opportunities for conversation, getting to know one another and intergenerational exchange.
