History of the Forum
On April 12, 2005, the German Forum Tulcea acquired legal status under the name "Democratic Forum of Germans in Tulcea." The founding members of this legal entity included: Richard Wagner, Carmen Ungureanu, Ana Maria Galbur, Emilia Mihail, Jakob Caim, and Ecaterina Gheorghiu
Activities and priorities

Office & Regular Meetings
The current headquarters of the DFD Tulcea is located in a two-room apartment purchased on December 5, 2003, by the Regional Forum Old Romania and provided rent-free. The apartment was partially renovated using the DFD's own funds and with the help of a BMI (Federal Ministry of the Interior) grant project, transforming it into a meeting place. Ongoing club activities include weekly meetings of members on Wednesday afternoons, where they read the German press, watch German-language television programmes, play Rummy, and listen to German music. On Fridays, the children of the "Rhythmus" dance group meet with dance teachers Rozalia Pătlăgică and Edeltraut Christa Rădulescu for their weekly rehearsal

Future projects
The DFD Tulcea's projects include forming and rehearsing a mixed singing group and organising German courses for children and adults in the forum's meeting rooms

Regular Activities & Traditions

With exhibitions of traditional costumes, artwork, and books, as well as performances by the dance group "Rhythmus," the Forum enriches events such as the Danube Festival, Minority Day, the Week of Interethnic Film, and the Interethnic Culinary Competition. Numerous diplomas displayed at the Forum headquarters attest to this active participation. Furthermore, in the fall of 2009, the local radio station "Radio Argus" broadcast a three-episode live radio series, "German Hour," featuring current events, culture, and music
